About Brad

Brad Lander. Dad Lander. Councilmember Lander. Comptroller Lander. Brad has gone by many titles, and now the people of New York’s 10th Congressional District want him to add one more to the list: Congressman Lander.

After serving his neighbors as a nonprofit leader, Brad served three terms in the New York City Council and as Comptroller of the City of New York, one of only three city-wide elected offices. Brad is running for Congress because New Yorkers know they deserve more from their representatives than just more platitudes and politics as usual.

In the City Council, Brad co-founded the Council’s Progressive Caucus and won transformative changes to expand workers’ rights, secure tenant protections, create affordable housing, integrate and strengthen the local public schools, and make streets safer.
